We know that it can be frustrating to receive too many emails on a daily basis, but when it comes to your energy retailer, in this case Lumo Energy, unsubscribing from our mailing list can mean you could miss out on great promotions, exciting competitions and value add opportunities.
Email is fast becoming one of the primary ways companies communicate with their customers – it allows them to update all their customers at once, saves on postage and paper, which of course is great for the environment and allows the customer to have an immediate response.
Due to stringent anti-spam laws and protecting consumer privacy, every customer has the right to opt out of receiving emails from their retailer. However, you can run the risk of missing out on helpful information such as energy saving tips and new services, exclusive discounts from our sponsorship partners and information on competitions.
If you’re still unsure whether to unsubscribe or not, call your retailer’s customer service team and ask them what information they often send out via email. Once you have a clearer understanding of how your email is utilised, how often you may be contacted , you can decide whether or not to unsubscribe.
