Helping Develop Rising Netball Stars with Netball Victoria

Netball Victoria

Netball Victoria’s Association Championships, now in its 16th year provides players from 220 Victorian Associations the opportunity to compete in what has become a crucial part of Netball Victoria’s talent pathway, as well as assisting in the development of coaches, umpires and officials.

Lumo has been a Major Partner of the Association Championships for two years providing funds to help grow and build the profile of the sport in partnership with Netball Victoria. In addition, this year it funded videos to promote health messages to netball players in the community, which was championed by Melbourne Vixen, Emily Mannix.

Lumo ran a social media competition which supported this health message, where players were encouraged to use #LumoChamps and tag images showing how they get match ready, with $250 going to the winner and $250 to their club. Lumo also awarded $500 to the winners of the 15/U category at each of the six regions including the 15/U Association Championships overall winners for the year, Banyule & Districts Netball Association.

The media got right behind the Association Championships providing great coverage throughout the state. It truly was a fantastic year and Lumo looks forward to continuing the partnership in 2016 with Netball Victoria.

For new customers, don’t forget we have a great netball offer.
