Netball Victoria Association Championships

Earlier this year, Melbourne Vixens and Australian Diamonds midcourter Madi Robinson helped launch the 2014 Netball Victoria Association Championships with its new partner Lumo Energy.

The sponsorship provides financial support to Netball Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation, as well as ensuring grassroots clubs taking part in the Association Championships receive financial support to further develop the sport in their respective communities.

The Netball Victoria Association Championships, now in its 15th year of competition, provide players from Victoria’s 220 plus netball associations an opportunity to compete in what has become a crucial part of the Netball Victoria talent pathway.

“The Association Championships is such an important part of the Netball Victoria pathway towards becoming an elite netballer,” Robinson said who began playing netball in this very tournament as a junior.

Robinson played her first game for Australia’s Commonwealth Games Netball Team on July 24 with a great win against Wales. The Australian’s have since played England wining by one goal 49 – 48 in a game that went down to the wire and Barbados winning 77 – 27.  To read more about their wins click here

Congratulations to everyone that competed in the Netball Victoria Association Championships this year, we wish you all the best and hope to see you taking part in the 2015 competition.
