Time for a change as The Block Glasshouse powers up for the new series

The team behind Channel Nine’s reality megahit The Block have announced that Lumo Energy will be powering the monster Glasshouse project in 2014.

Five couples will compete against the clock to transform a huge glass fronted abandoned office building on High Street, Prahran into five split level atrium apartments. This series will be unlike any before, with a unique twist that will see the couples judging each other’s rooms.

Lumo Energy will power the Glasshouse as the couples transform the office block into an apartment block. It will keep a spotlight on the tears of joy and frustration, the fights, and wow moments that The Block is famed for.

“We’re really excited to be powering The Block Glasshouse, it promises to be a spectacular series. Lumo looks forward to sharing its insights on how to save energy and money with easy to implement tips and bigger considerations when renovating or building,” said Tim Harrington, Executive General Manager of Marketing and Sales at Lumo Energy.

Lumo Energy is one of Australia’s fastest growing energy retailers, providing energy solutions to more than 531,000 residential and business accounts across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland.

Lumo Energy will feature energy saving tips each week to coincide with the room reveals on The Block. Additional tips on how to save money on your energy bill will appear in the Real Living Block insert (SA and VIC) brought to you by Lumo Energy.

“Peter Wiltshire, Group Sales & Marketing Director, Nine Entertainment Co, said, “We are delighted to welcome Lumo Energy as a local partner of The Block in Victoria and South Australia. The Block is an incredibly powerful platform for brands to connect with Australian audiences and we look forward to delivering phenomenal results for Lumo Energy.”
