Lumo Energy nominated for Australian Service Excellence Award

Lumo Energy has been nominated as a finalist for the Australian Service Excellence Awards. The awards, developed by the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) recognise the commitment to service excellence by individuals and organisations.  They are internationally recognised, with Australian winners automatically becoming finalists in the global International Service Excellence Awards.

Lumo Energy has been nominated as a Finalist for an 'Ease of Service' Award in the category of - Utilities - Gas for 2013.  The nominees were determined as the result of a national consumer survey, covering 22 product and services categories.

Executive General Manager of Marketing and Sales at Lumo Energy, Tim Harrington said of the nomination, "This is a great endorsement of the work we're doing to bring real choice and a positive experience to energy consumers.  Reaching the finals illustrates consumer acknowledgement of our ongoing commitment to service excellence at all levels of our organisation."

With customer expectations continually rising, the wider business community is becoming aware of the value and role that customer service plays in achieving business success.  It is important that customer service has a national award to recognise, promote and reward excellence, professionalism and outstanding achievement.  Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott and former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd have recognised the importance of these awards with a congratulatory note for the finalists.

The winners of the Awards will be announced at a gala presentation dinner on Wednesday 9 October 2013.
