Lumo Energy announces an exciting new partnership with Netball VictoriaLumo Energy is demonstrating its commitment to the development of community sport, announcing a new sponsorship with Netball Victoria.
The sponsorship provides financial support to Netball Victoria, as well as ensuring that grass roots clubs across regional and metropolitan Victoria receive financial support to further develop the sport in communities.
Tim Harrington, Executive General Manager of Marketing and Sales at Lumo explained, "We know that sporting clubs can be the lifeblood of communities in regional and metropolitan Victoria, in good and challenging times. Lumo recognises the positive impact that sport has in towns and suburbs across Victoria, and has created this partnership to provide support to towns where it is most needed. We are excited to be able to play a small part in helping Netball Victoria maintain and develop community sporting success."
Lumo Energy will offer a $50 credit to the first energy bill for each Netball Victoria member who switches to Lumo, as well as providing a $50 equipment voucher (per subscriber) to their local netball club to assist with operating costs. Lumo Energy will also offer a major donation to Netball Victoria, a not for profit organisation with a 75 year history, that is committed to growth and development of netball, and continues to provide quality competitions, events, educational clinics and courses, resources, support and advice.
This partnership emphasises Lumo's strong commitment to its customers in both regional and metropolitan areas. Lumo, like netball, is a challenger in its sector, understanding that there are larger organisations competing for recognition, and this sponsorship highlights the similarities and synergies that exist between Netball Victoria and Lumo Energy.
CEO of Netball Victoria, Michelle Plane said of the partnership "Netball Victoria is pleased to have the support of Lumo Energy, allowing us to continue to develop netball across Victoria, especially in regional areas. This new partnership with Lumo will allow us to continue to assist regional and metropolitan associations to grow and develop the next generation of netball players."
Netball Victoria has announced the location of the Association Championships, to be held in Shepparton and other various locations in May and June next year, with Lumo as a major sponsor.
